Alma Avila ✨ is a graphic designer / art director born in Oakland with Mixtec roots 👑 (Indigenous community in the Western region of Oaxaca, Mexico). Her most notable work is designing Anxy, an award-winning magazine about mental health through a creative lens 🎨 Some of her clients include: Anagraph, Apple, Authority Collective, California College of the Arts, Heath Ceramics, Working Films.

Outside of design, she is busy chasing around a toddler 👼 listening to podcasts 🎧  and learning how to cook the delicious food she had growing up.

Currently she is on the creative team at  Newsroom.
